The Transition Assistance Program (TAP)
TAP is designed to equip separating and retiring military and civilian personnel and their families with skills and knowledge required to make a smooth and successful transition to a second career. TAP’s primary focus is to prepare departing members how to conduct an effective job search in the civilian marketplace. Emphasis is placed on transition preparation rather than a job placement.
Transition Assistance for Military Personnel (TAMP)
Mandatory pre-separation briefing is required for all separating or retiring military personnel. This briefing must be accomplished prior to your final 90 days of service. For maximum effect—attend this briefing up to 2 years prior to your retirement, or one year prior to your separation!!! The briefing is scheduled by appointment only. The TAMP briefings for personnel separating are every Tuesday and the second and forth Thursday. The TAMP briefings for retiring members are the first and third Thursday. All briefings are at the Airman & Family Readiness Center. Call 723-3950 to register.
Transition Assistance Program (TAP) Workshop
This three-day comprehensive workshop is offered monthly, it will provide service members and their spouses with job search skills. A veteran’s representative provides information on veteran’s benefits. Other presenters include the Minot A&FRC, Job Service, and Veteran Service Officer. For maximum effect—attend this workshop up to 2 years prior to your retirement, or one year prior to your separation! Pre-registration is required, call the Airman & Family Readiness Center, 723-3950 to register.
Resume Writing Workshop
This class is offered on a regular basis. In this 1 ½ hour workshop, you will be provided with all the tools required to write a civilian and or federal service resume and interview successfully. You will be given the Do's & Don'ts for writing resumes and interviewing and a disk that contains links to websites that will be helpful in the resume writing and interviewing process. Everyone is welcome to attend this class. Seating is limited; call 723-3950 to reserve your seat as soon as possible.
