Assistance is designed for relocating military members, DOD civilians, and their families. The goal is to increase the knowledge and skills needed to accomplish a successful move.
Sponsorship Training
This training prepares members for sponsor duties. Sponsorship training is mandatory for first-time sponsors and those who have not been trained as a sponsor during the past year. To take the training just logon to the AF Portal and complete the training on-line!
Smooth Move
Are you ready? Get started with a complete PCS planning tool: the Automated Smooth Move Package. Whether it's your first PCS or if you consider yourself a veteran mover, the Smooth Move Package provides valuable information. It includes resources on housing, traffic management, household goods claims, military & travel pay, TRICARE, Special Needs Identification, schools, and much more. The Automated Smooth Move Package is required for all O1-O2s, E4s and below, and anyone going overseas. Spouses are also encouraged to come in for individual relocation assistance, especially if employment is a concern. Smooth Move assistance is available by calling the Airman & Family Readiness Center, at 723-3950.

Right Start
This Minot AFB Intro Program is designed to inform newly assigned personnel of services and resources available on the base and in the surrounding area. Newly assigned military and civilian personnel are required to attend. Spouses are highly encouraged to attend. Right Start is held on every 2nd and 4th Wednesday at the Jimmy Doolittle Center. Child Care for PCS Program
Program is intended to help families who are in the process of a PCS move. All ranks may be eligible for 20 hours of free child care, per child, at both the base you are departing from and the base where you are arriving for up to 60 days. The childcare will be provided only in licensed Family Child Care Homes. Call 723-3950 for more information.
