Life Skills Development
Adult Education
The Minot Adult Learning Center conducts the following on-base classes:
  • English as a Second Language
    Free class helps students develop English skills through sound development and conversation. Open to adults not enrolled in high school, trade school, or college.
  • GED Preparation
    Free class to assist students in preparing for the five parts of the GED.
  • Academic Review
    This class is a review of academics for students who have a diploma/GED but need to improve skills. Cost is $20/10 hours or $48/24 hours. Tuition assistance is available for military members at the Base Education Center.

Air Force One Source
Air Force One Source is great for those not living near the base, needing assistance after business-hours, or wanting local resources. Educational materials on a variety of topics are available online at www.militaryonesource.com or by calling a consultant at 1-800-707-5784.
Childbirth Education
Learn to relax in this four week course preparing for your baby’s birth. To register or for more information, call 723-3950.
Military Spouse Orientation
HeartLink is an activity-based, interactive program designed to help spouses recognize their critical role in the Air Force team and to learn more about the area. Increase your awareness of the Air Force mission, customs, traditions, protocol, and support resources available. Call 723-3950 for class dates.
Relationship Consultation & Education
Whether you’re having concerns about a relationship or seeking ways to enhance a good one, an A&FRC consultant can conduct an assessment to recommend an appropriate resource, to include:
  • RELATE
    An internet-based relationship evaluation tool that identifies individual/couple strengths and growth areas.
  • CoupleCARE
    An internet, evidence-based relationship enhancement program that couples can complete at home with regular telephone or face-to-face support from the relationship educator.
  • PREP
    An educational program that focuses on communication, conflict management, commitment, and expectations.
  • Classes
    A variety of workshops are presented on topics such as workplace conflict, stress/anger management, and Marriage & Money. Contact 723-3950 for more information on these or other topics that may be of interest to you.
