The AFAS may help with assistance in the form of an interest free loan, a grant or a combination of both for such things as: basic maintenance, emergency leave, dependent funeral, essential car repair, fire or other disasters and medical/dental problems not covered by Tricare. Please contact your first sergeant prior to any request for emergency assistance. The AFAS has now added a Streamlined Falcon loan to their services and they still provide community enhancement programs, a few are listed below.

Falcon Loans
A loan of $500 or less that can be used for emergency needs such as basic living expenses (phone, rent, utilities, food and gas), vehicle related expenses (payments, repairs, insurance), emergency travel, and medical or dental bills. To apply for a Falcon Loan call 723-3950 for an appointment and bring in an end of month LES.
Bundles for Babies
This class is for expectant mothers in their last trimester. It offers information on Air Force Aid programs, financial impact of having a baby and stressors place on family relationships. Upon class completion, each family will receive a bundle of Gerber Children’s wear and a canvas tote bag worth about $70. Classes are offered once a month, call 723-3950 for more information.
Give Parents a Break
Give Parents a Break offers eligible parent(s) relief from the stress that accompanies parenthood when a member is deployed, remote or TDY for more than 30 days; during a family crisis or emergency such as a serious family illness or birth of a new baby, etc.; having a child with special needs; or unique hardships. This program allows the parent to receive four hours of free childcare twice a month at the Child Development or Youth Center depending on child’s age. Program hours are Friday 6-10 p.m.; Saturday 1-5 p.m. each month. Call 723-3950 for more information.
Free Oil Change
Car Care Because We Care is intended to keep the primary vehicle of active duty Air Force members running. First-term Airmen assigned to their 1st duty station that meet with a Financial counselor to discuss their personnel finances and other programs available to them. Spouses of active duty members assigned to a remote tour or deployed for more than 30 days are eligible. Get your voucher at the Airman & Family Readiness Center weekdays from 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Call 723-3950 for more information.
